In this role, you will be responsible for demand planning and forecasting for automobile spare parts and consistent process enhancements with new ideas
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and quarterly statistical forecasting for service parts and perform various relevant analysis & reporting as required by business time to time
Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach towards optimizing inventory and their distribution
Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy
Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future
- Indicate trend changes and exceptions on case-to-case basis and escalate appropriately.
- Ensuring and driving the upkeep and maintenance of process documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems by the team
- Report/communicate to management/stakeholders on pre-decided rhythm dashboards on inventory targets (including safety stock levels) and forecast errors, service levels and order optimization that are approved by management.
- Suggesting ideas to improve existing process
- Support team in adhoc requestes/statistical analysis/reporting and projects
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
- MBA – Supply Chain Management / Operations Management, M.Tech / B.Tech – Mechanical / Industrial
- APICS certifications (like CSCP/CPIM) desirable.
- Strong knowledge of demand planning process preferably in service parts industry (automobile & electronic industry will be an added advantage).
- Should have functional experience in forecasting tools (like Servigistics /i2 /Manugistics /FGS etc.)
- Strong Supply Chain analytical capabilities with proven skills in Demand Forecasting and Inventory Planning
- Good statistical knowledge
- Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics: Inventory turns, service levels and margin contributions etc.
- Experience in managing end of life cycle and absolute inventory
- Good knowledge of various statistical forecasting techniques
- Has experience in presenting updates with business leaders/stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Understanding on service parts supply chain business processes
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to interact at senior leadership levels in business.
- Good communication and Team building skills
- Understanding of Database management and any ERP architecture preferably in Production Planning and Materials Management
