Job description: About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Affairs & Strategic Planning team. This role offers broad exposure to high-impact initiatives including M&A, corporate finance, investor relations, fundraising, IPO projects, asset monetisation, and international growth strategies. You will work closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and drive business transformation. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution Contribute to the development and implementation of both short- and long-term strategies that align with the organization’s goals. Perform comprehensive market and industry research to uncover growth opportunities, with a focus on international expansion and asset monetisation. Track and report performance metrics related to strategic initiatives. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support all phases of M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, structuring, and post-deal integration. Liaise with internal teams and external parties-such as banks, consultants, and legal advisors-to ensure smooth transaction execution. Assist in the creation of investment proposals, board papers, and related approval documents. Corporate Finance & Fundraising Help evaluate and execute financing strategies, including debt, equity, and structured financing solutions aimed at fueling business growth. Assist in fundraising processes by preparing pitch decks and engaging with financial institutions, private equity firms, and research analysts. Investor Relations & Corporate Affairs Support the development of investor relations strategies and materials, including quarterly earnings announcements, investor decks, and annual reports. Coordinate events such as analyst briefings, investor meetings, and AGMs. Maintain strong communication with stakeholders including regulatory bodies, analysts, financial media, and shareholders to reinforce transparency and corporate reputation. IPO Readiness Assist in preparing subsidiaries or associates for potential IPOs or trade sales. Provide end-to-end support in IPO-related activities including drafting of prospectuses, due diligence coordination, regulatory filings, and investor outreach. Work in close collaboration with advisors to ensure the smooth and timely execution of public listing exercises. Asset Monetisation & Strategic Transactions Contribute to identifying and executing monetisation strategies such as asset divestments, joint ventures, and sale-and-leaseback deals. Evaluate and support opportunistic transactions that enhance portfolio value or strategic positioning. Compliance & Reporting Ensure adherence to Bursa Malaysia listing rules, Securities Commission guidelines, and the company’s internal governance framework. Prepare regular reports for senior management and the board, highlighting strategic progress, key metrics, and financial impacts. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related discipline; CFA or similar qualifications are an added advantage. Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, investment banking, or related areas. Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with strong stakeholder management experience. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Open to candidates with a strong learning mindset and adaptability, even from non-traditional backgrounds. Candidates should be willing and able to commute to Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
