Role contributes to maintaining financial stability, cost efficiency, and informed decision-making within the organization by collaborating closely with the line manager.Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or ACCA Qualified.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or utility management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Familiarity with financial software and tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is a plus.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:Budget Preparation:
- Collaborate with departments to prepare annual budgets that align with the organization’s goals.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to make informed budgetary decisions.
- Monitor budget performance and provide timely reports to management.
- Consolidate Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Revenue Expenditure (Revex) plans from various departments.
- Ensure that Capex and Revex plans are aligned with budgetary goals and objectives.
- Conduct periodic reviews of budget variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain budget tracking tools and dashboards for real-time monitoring.
Utility Benchmarking:
- Evaluate utility consumption and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce utility expenses while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Benchmark utility usage against industry standards and best practices.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis to track performance against budget.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and insights.
Regulatory Compliance & Tariff Management:
- Prepare and submit revisions to the 7-year Multi-Year Tariff (MYT) plan to NEPRA
- Coordinate the submission of the revised 7-year MYT plan and KE Investment Plan , including revalidating supply petition documents.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements pertaining to investment plans and MYT.
- Maintain and update the investment plan in accordance with realized changes.
- Analyze deviations from the MYT and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data for Cost of Service Study (COSS) preparation.
- Assist in the revision of tariff petitions, ensuring adherence to NEPRA regulations.
