Responsibilities Work closely with Financial Controller to ensure accurate and timely management and financial reporting. Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and for statutory and regulatory purposes. Responsible for general accounting functions including the preparation of relevant documents / reports for management, tax agent & external auditor. Responsible for monthly closing and finalisation of monthly management results. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing. Ensure proper maintenance of records with appropriate supporting documentation and filing. Ensure accounting discrepancies are resolved or reported on timely basis. Analyse variances and initiating corrective actions. Assist in monitoring and planning cash flows. Ad hoc task or assignment when required. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a professional accounting qualification. Willing to be transferred to any Shangri-La managed hotel within East and West Malaysia. Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a similar role. Experience in the hospitality industry is not necessary but will be an advantage. A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations and requirements. Possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills. High sense of responsibility and excellent attention to details. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and to lead a team. Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
