About The Role:The Assistant Director Internal Audit and Integrity strategically leads the delivery of services covering internal audit, enterprise risk management, fraud and corruption control and business continuity strategies, plans and processes.The role aligns internal audit strategies, plans, programs and operations with the Department of Finance’s (Finance) strategic directions and provides an independent source of comprehensive review for the Director General and management. The role ensures risk-based approach to the internal audit function in accordance with legislation, relevant charters and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.A key focus of the role is leading ongoing improvements in the internal audit function to deliver maximum value to the business. This includes providing guidance on ineffective or inefficient controls, recommending enhancements to current processes and identifying emerging risks.About You:In addition to technical competencies, to be successful in this role you will have highly developed stakeholder engagement and strategic leadership skills to build and maintain strong working relationships and inspire change. You will demonstrate commitment to delivering value adding services to our customers. As an experienced leader within the audit profession, you will have a passion for driving meaningful and positive change, focused on ensuring integrity, while seeking innovative risk-based solutions to strategic and operational problems.This position operates in the context of .
