What You’ll DoAs Assistant Accountant, you’ll support the Finance Manager in the day-to-day running of the finance function. Duties will include:

Assisting with month-end accounts preparation
Preparing and supporting monthly management accounts
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Completing bank reconciliations and journal entries
Supporting VAT returns and other statutory reporting
Helping to prepare accurate financial reports for senior management
Liaising with external partners, suppliers, and internal teams
Maintaining accurate records and financial documentation
Supporting wider finance tasks as required in a growing business

About You

Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or Accounting Technician
A good understanding of accounting processes and principles
Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
Studying towards or interested in an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) is a plus, but not essential
