We envision a world that runs entirely on renewable energy.Because in the fight against climate change, we do not see renewable energy as part of the solution – we believe it must be the solution.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Asset Analyst – IRL who will be supporting the team responsible for executing Statkraft’s ownership interests in its Irish operating portfolio. The role will support market optimisation, asset risk management and ensure portfolio compliance with applicable legislation and The Statkraft Way across projects that Statkraft owns and operates. Though the role will be primarily supporting the Irish business, the candidate will be expected to support the wider Region 1 team covering Ireland and UK markets. The role is aimed at self-starters who can develop and grow alongside a fast-developing portfolio.Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the IRL Asset Manager with maintaining in-depth knowledge of route-to-market choices and contracts for operating portfolio
  • Assist in translating electricity price forecasts (and other ancillary service forecasts) into asset business plans
  • Maintain asset performance under RtM agreements and develop awareness of regulatory risks by carrying out impact assessments
  • Extracting operational and financial performance results from various digital dashboards and providing bullet summaries
  • Supporting the IRL Asset Manager with warranty contract management and claims management matters
  • From time-to-time work with finance and operational teams to develop appropriate risk management, performance and cost monitoring systems
  • Develop and maintain OPEX assumptions for portfolio and act as point of contact with corporate teams
  • Work with ECASS and other internal stakeholders to maintain oversight of PfO (prepare for operation) pipeline activities for projects being onboarded to portfolio
  • From time-to-time ad hoc engagement with external stakeholders and internal Business Areas such as landowners, OEMs, regulatory bodies
  • Support preparing due diligence processes during relevant M&A transactions
  • Reviewing and identifying trends from internal asset reports with a view to communicating thematic changes in the portfolio
  • Support in preparation and participation in quarterly Operational Committees

Qualifications

  • Higher relevant education within engineering and/or business, preferably at Master´s level.
  • Ability to work independently with a continuous improvement mind-set. Solution orientated.
  • Role is all about optimizing operational and financial performance, so the successful candidate will need the ability to identify issues, analyse and communicate findings and solutions
  • Insight into energy systems (both technical and commercial) will be an advantage, will require ability to take this knowledge and apply to real world situations
  • Relationship builder with the ability to collaborate constructively across multiple teams
  • High personal integrity and high ethical standards with strong HSSE understanding and commitment
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset
  • Understanding of organisation’s distributed model and encouraged to work with colleagues across region
  • Strong drive and passion for building new wind, grid and solar operating business
