About the Business Unit:Corrections Victoria is a business unit of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). Corrections Victoria’s vision is ‘Safer prisons, safer people, safer communities’. Our mission is to have ‘A safer, smarter system with a skilled and supported workforce, that enables people in our care to make better decisions’. The Beechworth Correctional Centre is a minimum-security facility with a focus on preparing individuals for release and successful reintegration back into society. It offers various working industries with the men given the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills that will effectively link them to employment on release. When not engaged in work, the men attend rehabilitative programs to address their offending behaviour, engage in education and visits whilst many also engage in recreation and community assistance programs.About the Role:The position of Assessment and Transition Coordinator is situated within the Programs Team at each prison.Some of your duties will include:
