The Role
Working within the Materiel Logistics (ML) Branch as a SCM Data Approver, you will be responsible for the reviewing and approving of Materiel Master Data within the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) system. You will work closely within a team of approvers to ensure that processing and resolution of MDG requests are completed in a timely and accurate manner.Reporting to the SCM MDG Manager, the position will be responsible for the following:

  • Execution of approvals via proficiently analysing technical data contained within materiel master data request
  • Quality assessing technical data within the new Material Master Data Governance system
  • Regularly liaising and coordinating with a broad range of stakeholders across Defence, including Civilian and ADF members, to identify, respond and provide advice in support of Defence outcomes
  • The performing detailed review and analysis of data quality checks, reports, and user and system errors that arise in the various aspects of day-to-day business activities
  • Managing and prioritising work, and making independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility
  • Undertaking specialist research and analysis to develop and implement new processes and procedures relating to SAP MDG and the Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Providing support to continuous improvement projects across the ML branch.

About our Team
Working within the ML Branch, the SCM Data Approval Team is a newly created section, which is responsible for the governance and development of end-to-end processes for the approval of material master data requests. The team provides data services to clients across Defence and interacts with a range of internal and external stakeholders to provide expert advice and assistance to our clients through interpretation and adherence to policy, procedures, and data quality standards.   • Experience within a logistics role with a deep understanding of supply chain and logistics management data

Expected salary: $83706 – 89659 per year
