Job description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for an Application Portfolio Management Consultant to join our client’s team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the client is based in Vancouver.Summary of the Role
The Platform Portfolio Consultant will assist the Technology Platform Solutions department with establishing foundational portfolio management practices for nine IT platforms. The role focuses on increasing platform management maturity, standardizing processes, and improving visibility across centralized and decentralized platforms.Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop roles, responsibilities, policies, and best practices for platform management.
• Establish processes, tools, and roadmaps to improve platform governance.
• Design investment governance frameworks and pipeline tracking for select platforms.
• Identify platform metrics and KPIs to support performance monitoring.
• Facilitate and coordinate portfolio management outcomes across diverse stakeholders.

Core Requirements

• Proven experience in Application Portfolio Management consulting.
• Expertise in defining and implementing governance frameworks and standards.
• Strong understanding of IT platforms, including centralized and decentralized models.
• Demonstrated ability to develop roadmaps, policies, and tools for platform management.
• Experience with metrics development, KPI tracking, and investment strategies.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting public sector organizations.
• Proficiency in facilitating cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level IT platform solutions.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver within tight timelines.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Terms
This is a 5-month contract position with the possibility of extensions. Candidates must be willing to undergo security checks as part of the hiring process.
