Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.Job Description:Assisting in preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision for US GAAP purposesPreparing current tax provisions, return-to-provision reconciliations, and deferred tax rollforwardsActively engaging across Tax and Finance teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of 3M income tax reporting in its financial statements.Communicating drivers of 3M’s effective tax rate and cash tax paymentsProviding insight, training, and guidance on ASC 740 income tax accountingResearching, analyzing, and documenting the ASC 740 reporting impacts.Collaborating across the tax organization to assess the impact of tax legislation on financials.Supporting global projects related to income tax accounting and cash taxPreparing accounting entries and performing period-end activities.Ensuring that the company’s tax-related internal controls are implemented and maintained.Driving process improvements and automation implementation for income tax accountingSupporting 3M’s implementation and analysis of Pillar 2.To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:University degree in finance, accounting, tax, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of income tax accounting experience in a public accounting firm or large, multi-entity corporationAdvanced proficiency in EnglishProficient in use of Microsoft ApplicationsIn depth ASC 740 Income tax accounting experience and knowledge baseBroad understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting standardsThe ability to prioritize when working on multiple projectsGood oral/written communication skillsAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Proficient in use of OneSource Tax Provision softwareKnowledge of OECD Pillar 2 FrameworkExperienced in using SAPQualified Chartered AccountantLocation: North Ryde, AUWorker type: PermanentLearn more about 3M’s creative solutions to the world’s problems at www.3M.com.au or on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn @3M.Please note: your application may not be considered if you do not provide your education and work history, either by: 1) uploading a resume, or 2) entering the information into the application fields directly.3M Global Terms of Use and Privacy StatementCarefully read these Terms of Use before using this website.
