Rewarding opportunities, within fast paced environment and plenty of variety, become available based on operational needs.Reporting to the Supervisor, Animal Services, through the provision of exemplary customer service, ensure the safety of the public and animals by educating and enforcing City by-laws and Provincial legislation regarding the control of domestic and wild animals (e.g., dogs, cats, horses, deer, raccoons, skunks, birds, rodents, snakes, etc.); educate and collaborate with the public regarding compliance with animal related legislation and responsible pet ownership.Job responsibilities are broken down as follows; 55% working with citizens, 20% dealing with the animals, 20% computer related tasks and 5% cleaning and sanitizing issued equipment, vehicle and office space. This position is focused as public relations-oriented work requiring the ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with the public.
