Why is this role important?The Analyst maintains CIHI’s secure online analytic tools (i.e. Portal and Insight) as well as supports internal and external clients with using our digital tools for analysis and reporting. The Analyst implements digital standards and governance to support and maintain CIHI’s websites. The Analyst is a key member of a multi-disciplinary, matrix team that spans responsibilities for education/training, technical development and testing, documentation, reporting design, client focused support, digital content publishing, accessibility compliance and digital content management. This role works closely with the Digital Experience and Creative and Language Services teams.What you’ll do1. Completes regular user acceptance testing, quality assurance testing and other maintenance activities for CIHI’s analytical tools, Portal and YHS: Insight, to ensure continuous quality improvement and support for our users. Updates documentation for end-users as required (e.g., release notes, metadata, user guides)2. Works with the Manager and other members of the analytical team to support the production of key deliverables for internal and external dissemination. Key deliverables include relevant documentation, data tables, and custom data requests.3. Conducts data management activities including writing and updating statistical code required for the development, computation, analysis, and/or verification of key deliverables. This may include support for the release of data and information through private and public reporting tools, including leading the execution of test strategies / test cases to ensure accuracy of the reported results in adherence with CIHI’s corporate information quality framework.4. Maintains detailed knowledge of data, tools, and analytical techniques used to produce standard and ad-hoc outputs.5. Supports the development of materials (e.g., analytical reports, methodology or technical notes, presentations, educational, media, etc.) for dissemination of findings and knowledge translation, and reviews written products for analytic accuracy and quality.6. Provides professional and timely client support to respond to internal and external client queries as required.7. Ensures adherence to, and ability to demonstrate compliance with, CIHI’s privacy and security policies and procedures when using CIHI data and information.8. Maintains current knowledge of CIHI’s data holdings, trends in health services research and health policy, and stakeholder information needs to support current work and contribute to the development of new analytic proposals.9. Participates in other corporate project teams as required.What you’ll bring to the tableUndergraduate degree in a related field.
