Job description: OverviewIDC is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our platform and analytics team. In this role, you’ll architect and scale data ingestion pipelines, lead master data management (MDM) efforts, and enable clean, reliable data infrastructure for both analytics and cutting-edge AI initiatives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to make high-quality data a strategic asset across the business.Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable ingestion pipelines from multiple data sources
• Lead MDM implementation, including data normalization, governance, and quality controls.
• Partner with AI engineers and analysts to ensure data readiness for modeling and automation.
• Automate and optimize ETL/ELT workflows, data profiling, and validation processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation on data architecture, lineage, and standards.
• Monitor performance and proactively resolve pipeline issues in production environments.
• Contribute to infrastructure evolution, leveraging cloud and open-source tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in building production-grade data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in MDM concepts, tooling, and best practices.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
• Strong collaboration skills and a drive to enable data-first decision making.
• Excited to work at the intersection of data engineering and AI product development.
