The team delivers a mix of proactive and reactive monitoring work, including audits and investigations, in partnership with other WorkSafe teams such as Authorisations and the Inspectorate.About the role / Ō te tūrangaThis role supports the delivery of audits and investifations, including working as part of a team on more complex cases and leading more simple ones.The role also carries out other activities, including initiatives to support compliance certification and industry compliance with regulations, and responding to enquiries from industry and other stakeholders.What You’ll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahiThe role involves conducting investigations, audits and other monitoring activity to ensure WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru’s certification, authorisation, licensing, and registration activities are effective and meet expected outcomes. It includes tracking the progress of these activities, handling complaints, and producing reports as needed. The position also supports the development and maintenance of procedures, guidance and training materials that support delivery of the work and build the capability of the team and organisation.What You’ll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Expertise in assurance and compliance monitoring activities, such as auditing and

investigation

  • Sound experience in a regulatory environment, preferably with a risk and assurance

lens

  • Excellent relationship building skills, integrity, attention to detail and a desire to uplift Aotearoa New Zealand’s work health and safety performance.
