Job description: Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this roleAdviser – Portfolio ManagementFinancial Markets Directorate.Te tūranga – The roleIn this key Financial Markets Directorate role, you will provide sound technical leadership across domestic markets, driving the day-to-day implementation of operational objectives.As a financial markets expert and senior team member, you will support the Manager with thought leadership, training, coaching and mentoring others to support their ongoing ambitions.You will play a key role in engaging with stakeholders and representing the team with integrity and will be relied upon to resolve issues as they arise to achieve great outcomes for Te Pūtea Matua.Ō pūkenga – About youYou’re passionate about the contribution you can make to New Zealand’s economic wellbeing, you have a strong blend of people and technical leadership, and with your collaborative and engaging approach you are able to guide and mentor others to achieve success.You’ll bring to the role:

• An in-depth understanding of New Zealand financial markets and institutions

• Extensive practical experience working in a commercial bank, asset manager or official institution treasury or trading environment

• Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders

• A positive, collaborative approach and the desire to work across a complex organisation at a senior level
