Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.Come and be a part of this success.About the RoleReporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Maintenance Managers, Superintendents, and Supervisors to drive efficiency across operational routines.This position is based at BMA Peak Downs Mine and is offered on a 7/7 dayshift-only roster, with Residential or DIDO options available.The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work closely with their back-to-back officer to provide support to Managers, Superintendents, and Supervisors in all administration tasks and projects.
- Support the development and delivery of maintenance work plans, manage the execution of administrative functions and communications, implement essential data management practices, and foster a positive team culture to drive efficiency across maintenance processes and operational routines.
- Assist the leadership team with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of both budgeted and contracted positions.
- Create and maintain position data, manage work schedule rules, crew lists, and Corvus.
- Communicate effectively and build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide calendar and email management to enable the efficient organisation and execution of daily activities for Managers, Superintendents, and Supervisors.
- Prepare agendas, presentations, and coordinate meeting logistics.
- Create and prepare reports and communications across the Maintenance Team.
- Perform data entry in line with processes, compliance requirements, policies, and guidelines.
- Attend safety meetings and engage in field leadership activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement time-optimisation solutions to forward-plan work and support the effectiveness of the leadership team.
- Manage travel and accommodation bookings, as well as expense management and reconciliation to streamline time management.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong administrative skills, providing day-to-day assistance to the Maintenance Department Manager and team.
- Demonstrated experience in a high-volume administrative role.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- A high level of attention to detail with a proactive approach, ensuring the ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work processes in a busy and complex environment.
- The capability to prioritise competing deadlines and work under pressure.
- A positive, adaptable attitude and a strong team player mindset.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Previous exposure to BMA systems and processes such as Workflow SAMS, SAP, SAP Concur, Fiori, C-Res, CORVUS, TMT, Documentum, and Right Crowd is highly desirable.
