Job description: Job Description:About the role:Flogas is seeking to recruit an Accounts Reconciliation Assistant. This is a critical role within the finance function joining an accounts team of three. The role will predominantly involve bank reconciliation preparation, intercompany reconciliations, accounts administration, and assisting with month end reports.Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliations – daily and monthly reconciliations
  • Preparation of intercompany reconciliations
  • Month end postings and accounts admin
  • Support Elec ROI finance team as required
  • Additional duties as required
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain intercompany reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist with month-end postings, including journal entries and ledger updates.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and month-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Review and process accounts receivable and accounts payable entries as needed.
  • Provide support to the Elec ROI finance team, including reporting and analysis tasks as required.
  • Identify and report any anomalies or discrepancies in reconciliations to the finance manager.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department by identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and discrepancies.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounts team, including filing, data entry, and report preparation.
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and analysis as directed by the banking manager.

Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate has at least six months of experience in the banking sector, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of bank reconciliations. They possess exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for their role. The candidate can work effectively under strict deadlines, showcasing excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
