Job description: Our client, Futuristic Optics Pty. Ltd trading as Foodworks Canowindra & Taste Canowindra, operates supermarkets that are 100% Australian-owned and operated. As independent supermarket and grocery store owner, all the products offered are always individually tailored to reflect store’s local community needs. There are a wide range of food products from a broad range of categories.Futuristic Optics is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join its team. The position plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and budgetary allocations.The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and expenditure tracking for both supermarket locations.The role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to analyze financial data, and a proactive approach to cost management. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to ensure that financial operations align with the business goals and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:
o Accounts Payable & Receivable
o Bank & Cash Reconciliation
o Payroll Support
o Inventory & Stock Accounting
o Financial Reporting & Compliance
o Administrative & Systems Support
Qualifications and Experience:
o A Certificate II, AQF Certificate III, or at least one year of relevant experience
o Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.
o Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciliations, and cost tracking.
o Experience in preparing financial reports and budgeting.
o Understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements in Australia.Skills Required:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
o Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
o Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
o High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
