Job description: Exciting opportunity for a strong Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant with a European Asset Management company based in the heart of Dublin 2.

This a great opportunity to work as part of a small close-knit team, reporting to the Finance Manager. You will take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping, supporting the financial management of the companies group. The role involves general bookkeeping, managing invoices, processing payments, performing intercompany reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in the preparation of quarterly reportingKey responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation
  • Process accounts payables and receivable transactions
  • Manage invoices and payments for all group entities
  • Oversee sales order management and client invoicing across multiple subsidiaries
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial records
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
  • Ensure data integrity of the ERP (Client and suppliers records, bank details, etc)
  • Ensuring accurate data records on employee pensions and healthcare deductions
  • Handling query inbox and storing entity documentations in the secure cloud
  • Support other general finance or accounting administrative tasks

Person Specification & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-6 years accounting experience within a medium to large organisation
  • Accounting Technician etc is advantageous but not essential
  • Desirable experience with Oracle NetSuite, Xero or similar ERP/accounting software
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work as part of a small team but also to work to own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with external stakeholders and internal teams
  • Dynamic, team player and good listening skills
  • Fluent English, knowledge of French is desirable for not essential
