Job description: Introduction:
We are currently recruiting an Accounts and Payroll Officer on a 6 months contractual basis (with a potential to be extended and become permanent) for a recognised commercial organisation. This role will assist the current finance team with the debt collection of tuition fees, prompt and timely processing of all invoices for suppliers, reconciliations, etc.You will report to the General Manager – Finance and HR.Your responsibilities:

• Handling both accounts payable and receivable tasks – including entering invoices, following up on payments, and ensuring bills are paid on time.
• Initiating new suppliers and adding them on the system
• Vendor and supplier reconciliations
• Running payroll from start to finish for around 90 staff and contractors, making sure everything is paid correctly and on time.
• Making sure all work follows current employment laws and company rules.
• Keeping employee records up to date, including leave, pay changes, and other HR details.
• Other administration & accounts duties where required

What experience will you have:

• 3+ years in the accounting and payroll domain
• Analytic approach, problem solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with large data sets on Excel
• MYOB experience is PREFFERED
• Having a proactive and steady approach
