Under the theme “Nearness,” we will spotlight what defines us: close collaboration, strong partnerships, and a shared drive to create fashion with passion and responsibility.We are currently looking for an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager who combines strong leadership skills with a business-oriented mindset to guide our experienced accounting team in Vienna and drive key financial initiatives across BESTSELLER Region EAST.Accounting Manager – Austria Hub (m/f/n)Location: ViennaSeniority: Leadership RoleResponsibilitiesLead and support a team of 7 accounting professionals at our Finance Hub in ViennaEnsure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in line with local GAAP and group policiesOversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assetsAct as the main point of contact for internal teams, group finance, and external stakeholders across the regionPrepare and review key financial reports, including monthly profit and loss statementsCoordinate with the Tax Manager on annual financial statements and tax-related reportingManage local statutory reporting and ensure smooth external auditsContinuously improve and standardize accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracySupport cross-functional finance projects (e.g., SAP S/4HANA implementation, new BI/reporting tools)Foster a strong team culture focused on collaboration, learning, and shared successQualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationSeveral years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, ideally in a group or shared service environmentProven leadership experience (e.g. team lead or senior accountant coordinating others)Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and coordination skillsSolid knowledge of national accounting standards (IFRS is a plus)Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision); familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is an advantageA proactive, structured personality with a focus on solutions and continuous improvementFull professional fluency in German and English (spoken and written)What We OfferA high-impact role with ownership and creative freedom in an international, fast-paced environmentLong-term development opportunities in a stable and growing companyA motivated, collaborative, and highly skilled team that values innovation and shared successAttractive employee discounts across all our brandsFresh daily lunch at a small cost, plus coffee, refreshments, and organic fruit available in the officeFlexible work arrangements, including two remote workdays per week (after onboarding phase)Public transportation subsidy (Jobticket) if requiredA bright and modern office with excellent transport links, located in Square One in19th districtPlease include information about your work permit for Austria in your application.The gross monthly salary for this position is based on the Austrian retail collective agreement.
