Job description: Perform Recruitment is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our clients company based in Drogheda, Co. Louth. If you have a strong background in accounting, payroll, and invoice management, we encourage you to apply.About the RoleAs an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing payroll, and ensuring the company’s accounts are maintained accurately and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in supporting the businesss financial health and compliance. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:

• Processing and managing invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments
• Handling payroll, including processing wages, deductions, and tax compliance
• Preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts
• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
• Assisting with budgeting and financial planning
• Managing VAT returns and other tax-related duties
• Collaborating with internal departments to ensure financial efficiency
• Assisting with audits and financial reviews
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accounting role, ideally in a similar industry
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
