Job description: We’re on the lookout for a detail-driven Intermediate Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in essential accounting functions, such as reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end reporting. If you’re someone with a solid grasp of accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and experience supporting accounts payable, we want to hear from you!This is a 6-month contract position with plenty of opportunities to make an impact!Advantages

– Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
– Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and support financial reporting.
– Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
– Assist with month-end reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
– Support the accounts payable (AP) team by reviewing and posting AP batches and assisting with data entry when needed.Qualifications
– 3-5 years of accounting experience with a focus on reconciliations, reporting, and journal entries.
– Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
– Experience with Great Plains (nice to have).
– Experience working in a charity/non-profit organization (nice to have).
– Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.Summary
