Job description: Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership:Provide vision and leadership for curriculum development, academic policies, and instructional standards.Ensure academic programs meet accreditation and regulatory standards.Promote innovative teaching methods and use of technology in instruction.Faculty Oversight:Recruit, evaluate, mentor, and support faculty and academic staff.Facilitate faculty development and performance reviews.Ensure compliance with faculty workload, promotion, and tenure policies.Program Development and Evaluation:Oversee development, implementation, and assessment of academic programs.Lead academic planning and program review processes.Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and new program initiatives.Student Success:Support student learning, retention, and completion initiatives.Address academic concerns and grievances in coordination with faculty and student services.Strategic Planning and Budgeting:Develop and manage the academic budget for the division.Participate in institutional planning and policy-making.Align academic priorities with institutional goals and available resources.Partnerships and Outreach:Collaborate with other deans, departments, and external partners.Represent the school/division in institutional committees and community events.Qualifications:Required:Doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant academic discipline.Minimum 57 years of academic leadership experience (e.g., department chair, associate dean).Demonstrated commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred:Experience with accreditation processes.Familiarity with institutional effectiveness and assessment strategies.Proven ability to lead change and manage diverse teams.
